Overview & challenges
The customer wanted to develop Carbon Manager as a low cost, simple to use online tools that gives instant desktop analysis of air travel emissions, spend and carbon. The primary primary requirement of the targeted application were
- Capability to receive information via APIs or by simply uploading data that is contained in spreadsheet formats
- Capability to process high volume of data
- Should use internationally accepted methodology to address internal and external emissions
- Capability for use in websites and intranets
Solution
Philogy delivered a scalable application that could process uploading and storing up to 50,000 flight sectors (as an introductory offer) and very high volume for other paid subscriptions. Delivered solution generate reports based upon region, top routes, top airline carriers, flight type and carbon cost, using the date ranges and currency.
