Philogy has successfully migrated KMVN from a legacy website to a much sophisticated integrated reservation and information platform. Public view is available at http://kmvn.gov.in .  Earlier the website was a mere unstructured pool of web pages with no content management capabilities and disconnected booking process.

The customer wanted to develop Carbon Manager as a low cost, simple to use online tools that gives instant desktop analysis of air travel emissions, spend and carbon. The primary primary requirement of the targeted application were

• Capability to receive information via APIs or by simply uploading data that is contained in spreadsheet formats
• Capability to process high volume of data
• Should use internationally accepted methodology to address internal and external emissions
• Capability for use in websites and intranets

Solution

Philogy delivered a scalable application that could process uploading and storing up to 50,000 flight sectors (as an introductory offer) and very high volume for other paid subscriptions. Delivered solution generate reports based upon region, top routes, top airline carriers, flight type and carbon cost, using the date ranges and currency.

Low cost carrier Indigo outsourced the management of it’s holiday business to Ires Networks. As part of the comprehensive outsource, Ires Networks is responsible to create, manage, contract travel elements from various suppliers providing hotels, transfers, site seeing etc. and finally bundle these elements with Indigo’s real time air inventory to create a holiday package. End consumers finally buy the available packages from the airline web site.

Unlike ancillary travel verticals like air or hotel only, creation of packaged offerings has it’s inherent complexities like supplier contracts, validities and number of other business rules. Additional requirement of interfacing with real time air inventory adds to the process complexities like adequate back office support.
